I met with many friends and their children during my stay in my hometown in the past golden week. Many friends have a boy respectively, but almost all of them told me that they wanted to have a daughter,in spite of the fact that it is our country's policy that one couple is only allowed bearing one child.
They said one boy and one girl meant good(好), and they thought it would be better for children's growth if two children lived together.
I don't want to comment on the policy that one couple is only allowed bearing one child. I am just thinking how people don't consider their income when they want to have more children? Many friends of mine are just functionaries, they just earn enough to support a small family of three people.Don't they consider the cost raising a child? Moreover, raising a child not only means giving him/her enough to eat and to wear, but giving him/her good education and good care...all this needs money and a lot of energy.
I asked one friend who had a boy of six years old:"are you sure you can give your children good education once you have one more child?" "I'm not sure.I can be sure of many things. But I think giving her life is the most important thing I can do."
What can I say at this?!
